Job Description

The IT SAP Senior Support Analyst’s ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's core business systems. Experiance with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA is required, along with a strong understanding of how SAP supports key operational processes. This role involves maintaining and optimizing networked software and systems, while using strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and maximize the value of IT investments. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Provide support for the testing of new and existing software applications under development or consideration for purchase
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders
  • Identify and learn appropriate software applications used and supported by the organization
  • Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application training needs and objectives
  • Participate in the design, development, and delivery of software applications training programs and individual classes
  • Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Formal Education & Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, and/or 7+ years equivalent work experience
  • In-depth, hands-on knowledge of and experience with SAP or S/4HANA and desktop applications, including Microsoft office, CRM systems, HR systems, various financial systems
  • Experience having built/maintained software
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages and techniques, including SQL/NoSQL
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures
  • Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications
  • Experience with building and maintaining databases for query and problem tracking
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Physical Requirements

Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

  • The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.
  • Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration.
  • Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas.
  • Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions.
  • The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.
  • Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.
  • Rarely exposed to high and low temperatures
  • Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.

Education

College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, and/or 7+ years equivalent work experience.

As a result, salaried employees are eligible for paid time off beginning upon hire. Salaried positions (project engineers and above) participate in an annual bonus plan, subject to company and employee performance. Salaried employees (this is all salaried employees) are also eligible for a company cell phone or cell phone allowance in accordance with company policy. Further, salaried employees (project engineers and above) also receive either a vehicle or vehicle allowance in accordance with Hensel Phelps’ policies. Based on position location, a cost of living adjustment (COLA) may also be included (subject to periodic review and adjustment).

Compensation Data (Colorado Only)

Base salary range: $84,640 - $91,200
